I'm pretty undecided on this topic. I know we need a straight up scorer to help the team and Josh Smith can do that but he has awful shot selection and has mostly played the PF position throughout his career. They will just put him at the three when Monroe is in but his fit with this team is up in the air for me (mainly with how much we paid him to get him to sign). Especially with Monroe and Drummond on the team, how do you guys think Smith will fit in?

Hopefully he either lays off the jump shots or either Sheed works with him on them.

I think he can.  Smoove can pass very well which would help our bigs and if he wanna hoist 3's Monroe and Drummond will probably get the rebound.  I wanna see the alley oops between Drummond and Smoove

That'd be almost as stupid as bringing Pau Gasol off the bench for Earl Clark.

With that contract will the Pistons fit Josh Smith....?

It was an excellent hire to bring in Rasheed Wallace and Chauncey Billups on the bench and on the court {Billups}.

That will keep Josh's attitude in check and focus intact. I am interested to see that dynamic with Sheed and Monroe, Drummond and J-Smooth and Villanueva.

You got something in Motown....

Singler could start and bring Jerebko, Villanueva and Drummond off the bench.

This team is so well balanced now with one player acquisition. No, make that two with Billups. Jennings as well.

But he is secondary right now. In fact, I would bring Jennings off the bench too. And bring back Corey Maggette or someone because you can't start the rookie KCP who was another excellent pick.

Major wild card team in the East and darkhorse...just ahead of the Cavs and Wizards for the surprise team in the East.

If they stay healthy and focused and driven...the NBA playoffs in the East will be EPIC.

But in all honesty I would give up Drummond and bite the bullet and do the Rondo deal.

But that is just me...it would be hard to give up on Drummond at only 21 but he needs to play. PG is more important in the East.
