I just don't see Drummond coming off of the bench.

But in all honesty I would give up Drummond and bite the bullet and do the Rondo deal.

Well, there are 96 frontcourt minutes to go around, so, why would it be crazy to bring Drummond or Smith off the bench?

Monroe 32 mpg
Smith 32 mpg
Drummond 26 mpg
4th big man 6 mpg

Start Drummond but take him out of the game late, as his FT issues are unsustainable. Let Smith come off the bench but let him finish games together with Monroe.

Enables the Pistons to easily have the best frontcourt rotation in the NBA and stick a shooter at the three.

seems much more intelligent then having them play together for 30 minutes a game and destroying spacing.

Smith makes too much money to come off of the bench.

LOL I highly doubt Smith signed a contract with them without getting a promise of starting.

People are freaking out about him playing the 3. Truth is he'll probably only be playing that position about 10-15 mins a game and rotate into lineups with either Monroe or Drums playing the 5.

This team needs to move on from Monroe, or relegate Monroe to 6th man duties.  If the Pistons want to mesh, they need to build around Smith.  Not sure how Jennings fits in with Smith, seeing that they are both inefficient chuckers, and Drummond is terrible down low.

Floor spacing will be a major issue for the Pistons this season, and they should look to unload Monroe to get better floor spacing.

It's not looking good for an extension apparently and I can't see them letting him walk.

Yes he'll finally fit in with Pistons and when the Rockets come to Detroit he'll finally be shooting the Pistons into games.

Just joking around, he'll probably do pretty well in Houston, I'm expecting him to get a lot more space with a couple of extremely healthy egos already there.
