Clive Owen or Idris Elba would've been better options IMO.

Mark Ruffalo would be my choice.

Why wouldn't I be?

I like Ruffalo, but not for Batman.

I was thinking someone more like Josh Brolin, Ethan Hawke (though he is a bit small), Thomas Hayden Church (from about five years go would have been nice), or Adrien Brody.

Adrien fucking Brody? You're looking for a tough guy to play a darker/ grimmer batman and your choice is the guy from the pianist? The pianist? that whole fucking movie could have been avoided if the main character had just learned to play the fucking trombone.

The only think that could salvage this movie at this point is Christian Bale inviting Affleck to his appartment, putting on an 8 track of Huey Lewis and the News and chopping him to pieces with an ax.

Silent Bob would have been a better choice, I can't believe the dude from Chasing Amy got this.

Come on y'all. Give the man a shot! Hell the last James Bond had blonde hair and blue eyes and he was awesome.

My choices however would have been...

1. Gabriel Macht from USA's "Suits"
2. Joe Manganiello from True Blood
3. Michael Fassbender (Xmen First Class/Prometheus)

On my phone so I couldn't post pics, but all would be spot on. I'm sorry, I heard Idris was an actual candidate but COME ON. Even the black comic fans would hate it. It's not a comedy like Wild Wild West.

Afleck is one of those actors that has made millions but doesn't appear to be a good actor. Nicholas Cage also comes to mind. The last few Afleck moves I saw, he wasn't natural at what he did at all. In fact I can't recall anything I liked from him except his role in Dazed and Confused. That last movie he did about Iran, god awful acting on his part.
I thought that at first, but when I thought more about it, his films have actually been prety solid. We're you not an Argo fan? Good Will Hunting? Armageddon? The Town? Jersey Girl? The cameo in Clerks 2? Sum of a Fears? Reindeer Games? And my personal favorite, Boiler Room?

Listen, I know we all have that brutal performance with J-Lo stuck in our heads, but he's really not that bad.
