I saw a Hang time blog on him on nba.com, and I've got a question for you older/very high basketball IQ lads, how good would he have been if he played in the NBA, and who was he most comparable to skill/playing type wise?

Oscar Schmidt 54 points 1988 (10 3-pointers)




Also had 24 pts and 2 stls vs the Dream Team as a 34 yr old.

He would have been a multiple All-Star selection,and a sure fire Hall of famer.Not one of the best 10 players ever,of course

He had one of the best quotes ever, I believe in response to criticism that he was a ballhog/chucker:

...or something like that anyway.

I agree with the Peja comparison, but its hard to say since we never saw him play the best competition consistently.

it really hard to judge him he didnt play professionaly as european leagues were amaturs and the talent in europe was very poor in the 80's and early 90's

yeah but he played against the dream team at age 34 and other top national teams in the 80s. It's more difficult than an NBA player but you can still get an idea.
