Wizards trade Emeka Okafor and their first round pick to the 76ers and Trevor Ariza to the Lakers

The Lakers trade Pau Gasol to the Wizards

The 76ers trade Kwame Brown to the Lakers and Lavoy Allen to the Wizards

This only becomes a possiblity if the Lakers at the deadline realize they aren't making the playoffs and just want to get under the tax. Which could happen, and the Lakers should have every motivation to do that because they are close to 9 or 10 million over and it would reset their repeater tax numbers. They would punt the rest of the seasons and improve their own draft place. And the added comedy of Ariza and Brown coming back to the Lakers would be great for 2 months.

The Wizards would get a All-Star (maybe still) level big man and make the playoffs and be a tough out. Wall-Beal-Webster/Porter-Gasol-Nene is a good lineup. They would be giving up their pick, which in this draft is supposed to be a no-no, but it would be around 15-20 and they have plenty of young guys already. Their owner is old and he wants to make the playoffs NOW!!

Philly rents out its cap space to pay Okafor and earns a mid first rounder for this draft.

YES! I would love to see Kwame Brown in a Lakers uniform again lol.
Via Wikipedia...
"On December 26, 2005, he played his first game at the Washington Wizards' MCI Center (now known as Verizon Center) as a Laker. The sold-out crowd of 20,173 fans loudly booed him upon entering the game and whenever he touched the ball. In the second quarter, Brown was looking the other way when teammate Sasha Vujačić threw a pass his way. The ball bounced off his head and landed out of bounds, which was met with loud cheers from the crowd."
