Memphis could use a second guy that can create for others.  Right now, the only guy they have that can do that is Conley.

Memphis probably wants Conley to play 36 mins per game this year. Certainly no less than 34 mins.  I don't see Lin as a 12-14 min per game guy just yet...

Memphis is so good defensively, they can afford to play Lin at SG.

Well thats not going to happen.

The Grizzlies aren't dumb enough to give Lin SG minutes over Tony Allen, Pondexter, Miller, Bayless, and their 1st round pick Franklin.   Lin is a poor defender, only 6'3, and shoots only 34% from 3 at best.  I don't see a shot in the world of that happening.

Lin is better than Bayless, Miller, and Pondexter.  Tony Allen would start, and Lin would back-up both guard spots.  Lin would be the team's 2nd best play maker for others.

No, not with finding out that Lin gets paid $15 million next season, even though he counts as only $8.33 million to the cap.
