You do realize the Wolves haven't made the post season in 3 years dont you?

You do realize that KG is 31 years old don't you?

You do realize that KG has a contract that cripples the Wolves from adding any viable talent around him dont you?

You do realize that the Wolves have no other inticing trade bait to use to get other talent around KG dont you?

The Wolves have no other choice than to start rebuilding.  In fact they should've traded KG to the Bulls last year when they had the chance.

If they can't get a deal done before the draft the Wolves should get the rumored Davis for Artest deal done.  Then trade the #7 to GS and get Monta Ellis.

And then try their hardest to dump T-Hud or Jaric.

A few years ago I would've agreed.  But now, I look at it like this:

You hafta gauge your team and it's state against the best in your conference.  In the wolves' case, that's Phoenix, San Antonio, and Dallas.

With KG, Artest, and Ellis, do you think the wolves stand a chance against those teams?  

If not, then you must reload or face mediocrity.  If the wolves don't trade KG this year, not only are they wasting our time as fans, but they are wasting KG's career.  It is simply because the wolves don't have what it take to surround KG with a winning formula.

In all fairness their are so many loopholes around the salary cap and Glen Taylor clearly doesn't care about the Luxury Tax with the acquisitions and signings of Hassell, Jaric, and James with the mid-level exception in the past three years. So, clearly his contract means little in putting the pieces there for the team to succeed.

Rashad McCants has serious trade value between his offensive ceiling being so high and his contact being so small. Ricky Davis plays like he's worth more than 7 million every year. The bad contacts in conjunction with a couple of the good contracts of McCants, Madsen, and Smith make any deal possible. Not to mention if we really needed to the franchise finally has all of its picks in place after that Joe Smith fiasco in the early 00's.
