An overall note on the coaching profile, the players already have their own tendencies. The coaching profile changes them. A team with Derrick Rose / Kyle Lowry / LeBron James is still going to attack the hoop like crazy. There's no reason to set your "Attack the Basket" to 99 if you already have players who would do that anyway. If you have a player like OJ Mayo who can attack the basket pretty well but rarely does, that's when you might consider upping the "Attack the Basket".

Playbook - Whatever real life team you want to use the playbook of
Offensive Tempo - 50 is average - How fast you want your team to execute plays on offense. Faster is not always better. If you have a slower team like the real life Portland Trail Blazers or Milwaukee Bucks, keeping the score under 100 points might be your best chance at winning. Anything between a 30 and an 80 is reasonable depending on what kind of a team you have.
Defensive Pressure - 50 is average - How close you want your guards to defend on the perimeter. A high rating like a 70 would be for a team with a seriously lockdown defensive team at PG / SG / SF. Someone with Jennings / Crawford / Stojakovic is going to get blown by on the perimeter if his guys get too close. Anything between 35 and 75 is reasonable depending on the quality of your perimeter defenders.
Help Defense - 50 is average - How much you want your big guys to help out on defense if the guards or other big men get blown by. I would warn you that sticking your Help D up too high in addition to putting your Defensive Pressure up too high can really lead to some lousy defense. Basically this is just like Defensive Pressure but for big men. If you have good helpside defenders like Duncan and Bogut, stick it up to maybe 80. If you have weak ones like Channing Frye and Matt Bonner starting at PF / C, you'd probably want it down at 30.
Fast Break - 60 is average - How fast you want your guys to leak out towards the hoop after you get the ball. Setting it too high when you have weak ballhandlers at SG / SF can cause some turnovers. 40 to 80 is reasonable.
Crash Boards - 50 is average - A high rating like 80 means that your C, your PF, your SF, and your SG will all be doing after every rebound on both ends of the court, leaving the PG to defend / run the break on his own. If you're a fast break team a lower rating like 40 might make sense, it would allow more guys to leak out and a higher chance of scoring fast break points. Too high of a rating will make you give up a lot on the fast break too. Then on the flip side if you have some phenomenal rebounders at every position a high rating will give you lots of extra possessions. 30-80 is reasonable depending on who you've got.
Run Plays - 30 is average - How often you want your guys to run plays. A high rating is going to make you more like the Spurs or Blazers, a low rating is going to make you more like the Suns or Knicks. Anything from 10-60 can make sense depending on your style.
Double Teams - 50 is average - This one is big for guys who have good defensive players. You can create lots of extra turnovers with a high rating. However it's a risk because they can pass out of the double team and get an open shot. This one should go hand in hand with you're team's defensive quality. 25 for a terrible defensive team, 85 for a great one. But even if you're a great defensive team you might still want to play the man straight up, up to you.
Zone Usage - 10 is average - The percentage of the game you want your team to run a zone defense. Zones hurt your ability to defensive rebound and teams with lots of 3 point shooters will be a danger. But they have their advantages too. You could set this one all the way to 0 if you want, anything higher than 20 or maybe 25 is insane.
Bench Depth - 55 is average - Shouldn't effect anything since we're following the written rotations. Set it to average and move on.
Take Inside Shots - 40 is average - Every team in the league has their preset Take Inside Shots at the same number as Take Close Shots. An overall note on these shooting tendencies, setting them all 20 points above average is going to turn your team into the 2006 Phoenix Suns. A really quick to shoot and quick to settle for a mediocre shot kind of team. That may or may not be what you're going for.
Take Close Shots - 40 is average
Take Mid-Range Shots - 60 is average
Take 3PT Shots - 55 is average
Attack the Basket - 35 is average - Pretty self explanatory. I gave an example up at the top of this page that might answer any questions. 10-60 can be acceptable based on your style of play.
Look for Post Players - 70 is average - How much you look for your PF / C in the post. If they're not post up players, or they're not guys you're trying to get 15+ ppg, then probably keep this one at a 50 or so. If you've got Amare / M.Gasol, jack this up to a 90. 40-90 is acceptable based on your players.
Throw Alley Oops - 50 is average - Every team in the league has a 50. Anything higher just creates loads of turnovers. Never stick it above 50, maybe 55 tops. This would be the one to leave at 50 no matter what kind of a team you have.
