But what is long-term for Taj... Life long bench player... Taj could start for alot of teams... He is gonna want to be second to Mirotic ...
He'll more than likely start on this team if we don't trade him. Mirotic won't be starting at least his first year in the league unless he's putting up some ungodly numbers.

Taj is 29 years old in June. Do you think he is happy being a career bench player ?
The move is to ASAP trade Boozer for an expiring to a team that would never attract a free agent of his caliber on their own. (but the trade will need a sweetener) And start Taj the rest of this season and some next year. And if Mirotic doesnt come over until 2015 summer, then Taj is a starter for more time. He could be a valuable trade chip, but Bulls need to play him more and increase his stock. He wont be a free agent until he is like 34. So they own him really, his career will be on the down slope once he is that age. But I could see him getting to where he starts complaining about playing time and demanding a trade if he continues to improve. Bottom line is he is better then Boozer but Boozer starts because of the money they pay him, not his game.

You're assuming Mirotic is going over for the same amount of money.

Mirotic will get 5 to 7 mil per. But as I said he will start over Taj in short time. I feel he isn't coming over until 2015 summer.

If Taj's offense was even a slight bit better, He would destroy Boozer. Again Boozer starts b/c he gets paid more. Time to Loose the Booze and let Gibson start until he losses his job. He is better then Boozer, but Boozer gets more points that's all. But he also costs the team points too with his lack of D.

Might even be smart to use the higher draft pick to draft a PF, So Taj's backup will be cheaper. If they Amnesty Carlos The Terribull this summer.

Bulls need a guy at PF with 2 years left on a MLE that can come off bench for Taj.  Dump Boozer's contract and use the savings to improve the team. And then sign Niko in 2015 and let him come off bench until he wins the starting job.

Where is Chicago getting this $7 million from? He's already making somewhere around $5 million in Europe.

I said minimum of 5 and max of 7.

So it will take $5mil or more to get him here. He is on an elite team in a warm city. And has made comments that suggest he is cool with staying in Europe. Why would he come here for less money to play for the Bulls ? We are not talking about the Heat or the Thunder... The Bulls are mediocre now. There star was seriously injured and Chicago winters are brutal.

Seeing as it got him paid over $8 million a year to do it, I don't think he's the most upset guy in the world to be coming off the bench... And you're confusing starting with playing time. He's still getting 29 mpg off the bench, which is a ton, and the most in his career. I don't think PT is an issue, and I doubt it becomes one unless Mirotic comes over and starts putting up MVP-like numbers, which probably won't happen. Plus, Taj has proven to be more than capable of playing the 5 for stretches. There's enough PT to go around.

Im just saying for the money. I'd rather have Taj and a MLE at PF. The savings would be like 10 million is cap space. Which gets you better at SG, PG and back-up center.

Heres ten million dollars.... Can you do better then Hinrich, Nas & DJ Augustine ? Most of the Bulls get around 30 minutes a game, its what some do with their minutes thats the problem. Great defense but cant score 100 points most nights. = .500 basketball.
