Exactly what I'm saying. The fact that only one young big man has come through LA since Kobe has been with the team and went on to go from a chubby kid to an all star centre (barring the knee injuries) kind of disproves any theory that a big man can't develop with Kobe on the team. It's a fucking idiotic statement.

maybe he was just trolling?

*cough* Kwame *cough cough*

the topic is young bigs who get drafted by LAL while Kobe's around..this began with a comment on Embiid's future if it were with LAL/under Kobe's watch.  Kwame doesn't qualify..Wizards get cred for that bum

Why are you limiting it to only guys that the Lakers drafted?  He was barely 23 when the Lakers got their hands on him.  Still definitely young enough to be developed.

It was mostly a joke, anyway, but you are getting pretty arbitrary when you narrow it down to just guys the Lakers drafted.

I kind of was too, with the over the top response, but a few have made that argument before.

He was 23 but in his fifth year at the time, it was already decided that he was a lost cause in Washington.
Bynum is really only developing young big with potential that LA had had in many a year. And remember, Kwame taught him everything ... Says Kwame.

A lot of bigs develop after 4-5 sessons.  Jermaine O'Neal, Kevin Garnett, Rasheed Wallace, etc.

You seem to be forgetting some guys.  In the win column you have Mark Madsen.  In the loss column you have Slava Medvedenko and Brian Cook.
