Why are you limiting it to only guys that the Lakers drafted?

because we were talking Embiid and looking at LAL's history of developing their own.

He was barely 23 when the Lakers got their hands on him.

he wasn't their own

Still definitely young enough to be developed.

Kwame was nothing more than a scrub @ heart..some bigs are just destined for that.  small hands, horrible receiver of the basketball, no toughness mentally, etc.  he didn't " develop " anywhere.  none of it shocked me because he literally came from nowhere in that draft.  that high school class was all about DeJuan Wagner, TJ Ford, Eddy Curry, and Tyson Chandler.  Kwame was a nobody that flew up the draft boards based on physique and potential.

It was mostly a joke, anyway, but you are getting pretty arbitrary when you narrow it down to just guys the Lakers drafted.

i'm staying on topic

He was 23 but in his fifth year at the time, it was already decided that he was a lost cause in Washington.

yep

A lot of bigs develop after 4-5 sessons.  Jermaine O'Neal, Kevin Garnett, Rasheed Wallace, etc.

you just named big men with both great hands and great feet..big men that were highly touted and followed early in their high school years.  Kwame didn't even have a target on his back in high school..again, he wasn't a major deal like Curry or Chandler were.  he flew under the radar for a long time and wasn't tested.  year 1 or year 5..doesn't matter..nobody was able to hook Kwame up with a couple hand-transplants.  God gave him small/brick hands.  like Stink said, he was a lost cause before he got to LAL.  just a body.

jokes indeed trollol

love bynum, he's a talented bum though, for whatever the reason may be he never has been and never will be consistent enough to enter into any discussion imo.

I'd take one of this wings easy.  Lakers can always just pick up the next great big man in free agency like they always do.  Let another team mold him, just reap the rewards like they always do.  *hates*

I felt like UK was destined to win it when in reality it was UCONN.

Who should win- Florida
Who I want to win- Kentucky
Who seems destined to win- Uconn

I voted Uconn, but seeing how i did on my bracket, Wisconsin will probably take it :p

It was a great tourney, and I enjoyed watching Uks climb to the top (thought they had it in the bag), but UConn had the "it" factor.
