As of right now, here is who we have locked down for sure:

Lopez            Plumlee
KG                Tele
Johnson
Thorton
D-Wil             Teague

With talks of Blatche having mutual interest with New Orleans (good for him), Shaun and Anderson probably demanding more than we can pay, AK seeking larger role and more money - the Nets are going to have a ton of new faces next season.

I do believe Pierce will return to the team.  I think the Nets would be willing to throw something along the lines of $18 million at him for the next two seasons - far more than I think any contender will be willing to offer him.

Clearly, the team needs to target players on the wing.  So fellas, who do you think the Nets should go after?

That actually makes a lot of sense to me.  Have the Cavs throw in a future 2nd rounder.  Hope it goes through.

Muahahahahahahaha.  AK opts in.

All indication points to PP returning giving us a lineup of:

Lopez            Plumlee
KG                Tele
AK                PP
Johnson         Thorton
D-Wil             Teague

I must say, I ain't mad at that.  I pray we resign Anderson, but I think someone will offer him more than the min.  I really want to find out who's going to backup Deron

There have been some talk about PP signing elsewhere now.  Now that the draft is over, the latest lineup:

Lopez            Plumlee
KG                Tele           Jefferson
Johnson         AK
Thorton         Brown          Thames
D-Wil             Teague

I am still ok with it.  I say the team is still good enough to make the Playoffs, with or without Pierce.

If the Knicks retain Melo, do not bet on the Nets being a playoff team.  The Nets just do not work with Lopez in the line-up.  He is a post player who demands touches and does not work well in the PnR.  I do not see the Nets having the success they had in the second half of this past season, if Lopez is healthy.  Garnett does not work as a PF very well anymore, and the limited spacing with AK at SF is not conducive to the half-court offense of Deron and JJ.

Updated:

Lopez            Plumlee
KG                Tele                  Jefferson
AK                Bogdanovic         Karasev
Johnson         Brown                Thames
D-Wil             Jack                  Teague

I am so disappointed in King for not including Teague when dealing away Thorton.

Hopefully, we stash Thames in Europe for a year or two.

Karasev's numbers from last season also does not look too promising

That is far too early to say.

Blatche is gone.  Teletubby cannot be a 3 because of his footspeed - or lack thereof.  AK cannot be a  2 guard.  Thomas is going to be sent to Europe.  You're also forgetting about Bagdanovic.  And at this point, it really won't shock me if Pierce goes elsewhere.  As of now, a more accuracte picture is:

Lopez            Plumlee
KG                Tele                   Jefferson
AK                Bogdanovic
Johnson         Brown                Karasev
D-Wil             Jack                  Teague

Here is a thought, but I know it won't ever happen - I would do a S&T with the Thunder.  Ship out Pierce for Perkins.  Perk has good history with KG and is on the final year of his contract.  Thunder would happily do it because they've been searching for another scorer ever since Harden left.  Then resign Alan Anderson.

Not that it would make a whole lot of difference.  With or without Pierce I see us getting bounced out in the first round.

I think that Nets fate this season depends on Lopez.
