Hello everyone, My name is Sabrina and I am Kyle's (madawg49) sister. I am deeply saddened to tell you that Kyle passed away on Monday and so I will be closing his profile. I just wanted to say thank you to the online mates and friends he had. I know he loved talking ball on this site and enjoyed talking to people from all over the world. Thank you again, be kind to one another and tell the people you love just how much every day. Sabrina

This is legit news, everyone.
Kyle was a great contributor to this site. Obsessed with numbers and stats, but still helped keep this place from spiraling into the abyss that it's destined and just about to fall into. There was a reason I asked him to be a mod.
I know he won't see this, and I doubt any of his family will either, plus it's Hoopshype, but if we could just all contine to be respectful at this time and not fall into the urge to be quite so ... Hoopshype, that would be great. Kyle was a friend of mine off of this site too, so I'm deeply upset by this news.
Thanks, guys. He'll be missed.

Damn, I feel bad for being a dick to him most of the time but he seemed to generally take the banter on this site in good humor, not really letting it affect him and seemed like a genuinely good dude. A few summers ago when we were starting up the all-time draft game again he was nice enough to help me sim games and throughout the downward spiral of this forum into mostly a trolling shitshow, he was one of the few posters who continued to post reasonable basketball discussion like this forum was intended for. RIP Madawg.
