As a whole, this is actually going to be good for Democrats in the long run. The economy that the Obama administration has fixed from the failure of the Bush years won't be able to be destroyed, but in 2 years the country will be sick of the Republicans again, and a Democrat will remain as president, as well as Democrats will take back a number of seats, that's how it goes all too often unless the president in office really messes up (see 2006 to 2008 as an exception).
That seems to make no difference.
The republicans rig elections by redistricting in ways that they even admit is just so they can win house seats. Because when we look at districts the way they were before or are supposed to be, they would not even hold 25% of the seats, let alone a majority. Which is just another one of their voter suppression tactics. If we were actually going by citizens who vote one or the other, they would never be in control of anything.
Not that any of it really matters in the long haul as they are roughly the same party. Democrats are slightly better but not by much. At the end of the day they are still helping corporations more then people. If they really wanted to then they could simply harp on what the republicans are doing non-stop, but for the most part they agree.
