If there is anything Joe Dumars doesn't get enough credit for, it's drafting and getting young players.  Even while the Pistons had their "mini dynasty" Dumars was always looking to get younger thorugh the draft.  It all started with Tayshaun Prince, then came Darko, Carlos Delfino, Ronald Dupree, and last year he got Amir Johnson and Jason Maxiell.  What do you guys think of the Pistons young talent and how good do yoy think each player will be?  Who will be the best of this bunch?  (note: this does not include Darko)

The Darko bust isn't Joe Dumars's fault. That's Larry Brown's fault. But yeah, Dumars is a pretty good talent evaluator. I saw Amir Johnson play in the summer league. He's pretty good.

Amir was good in the developmental league but he and maxiell wont get the chance unless theres injurys or they will have to wait for a year or so more.

I don't think that will be an issue with Amir Johnson. He's still young. But Maxiell is ready to play...

Amir's a good player, but I don't expect any of their new young players to come in right away and make any huge contributions. However, I expect both Maxiell and Johnson to be solid players within 3-5 years. Also, Will Blalock, while he will be starting off in the development league, is one of the better players that I've seen in all of my days to be the last draft pick. I wouldn't be surprised to see him become a good backup PG on the team in a similar timespan.

I think Joe picking up Max  will cause people to give Joe his props.
