No no no no no. It would take Deng, Gordon, a bigger contract, a couple numbers ones, and most likely another team involved because we really don't want guards (where Chicago is talented). You also have to match up salaries. Most likely we would want a great player, two yound talents, at least a number 1.

Almost everytime when someone tries to acquire anothers franchise-player he has to pay higher price than what's reasonable if the other team isn't actually shopping the guy. Why? Because Franchise-players are also the marquee-players who bring fans to the stands and by this their influence is so huge that no team will let them go for cheap or as I said reasonable price.
Just think of AIs situation during the draft night. Philly had a great offer and was about to pull the trigger but still couldn't do it

who cares - kevin mchale is in charge . the pressure will be on and he will go fishing thinking that it will clear his mind to make a good decision.
wrrroooonnng. maybe a bit of research.
who knows what kind of crazed deal he will be talked into taking in garnet eventual trade. this man traded for mark blount - from a so called friend in Danny the "A".

so trading 20 mil of garnetts salary for gordon and hinrich's 6 mil combined works under the cap rules? lol are all lakers fans on here this stupid ?? i vote : yes 3rd one to post impossible trades. For all of you retards that like the lakers. they have rules about trades, the salaries for the next year need to be close. example here kg makes 21 million 06/07 BG makes 3.8 million 06/07 Kirk H . makes 3.1 million 06/07 21 and 6.9 are not even fuhking close.

True, Lakers fans are seemingly all cocky fools. There is no reason to trade KG unless he wants to be traded. You can try and convince yourlself that we need to rebuild, but it doesn't make sense.
I'm sure it's fun to think of ways to get KG, heck, if I wasn't a fan of the wolves I would try my hardest to come up with an idea to get KG, but it just won't happen.

BG makes 3.8 million 06/07 Kirk H . makes 3.1 million 06/07
21 and 6.9 are not even *******close.
Salary matching only comes in to play if both teams are over the cap. While I don't think the Bulls would trade BG & KH they will have enough room to do a KG trade next season(about 12mil under for 07/08 ) To do a trade this year they would have to use P.J. Brown's contract. For a more likely and reasonable trade offer.....
Example: KG 2006/07 = 21mil Bulls offer: Deng, Gordon, Brown, Pick +5mil in cap space
Example: KG 2007/08 = 22mil Bulls offer: Deng, Gordon, pick + 12mil in cap space.
(They would have to do the trades prior to inking their other player options and extensions. But I think that these moves would be fair for both teams. You could also sub Nocioni for Deng but only in the 06 scenario as I'm pretty sure he is a free agent next season.) They have this room due to the frontloaded contract on Ben Wallace. (Go Pax!)

The best trade for Minnesota would be the following:
Minnesota gets: Channing Frye ($2.3m) Jalen Rose ($16.9m) Quentin Richardson ($6.96m)
New York gets: Kevin Garnett ($21m) Trenton Hassell ($4.3m)
Both teams would benefit from that trade.
Minnesota would get a young talented player in Frye, a good two guard that can provide perimeter scoring in Quentin and a huge expiring contract from Jalen.
New York would get a dominant All-Star in Kevin Garnett that is still relatively young and have a strong will to want to win a championship along with a defensive minded two guard in Trenton Hassell.
With or Without Kevin in Minnesota, the Timberwolves won't be competitive enough to make it to the Western Conference finals. Even if they make the playoffs, they'll probably be eliminated after the first round.
With the prospects of Garnett leaving after this year (he has a player's option in his contract after this season), it'll be best that McHale makes moves now (or at least before the trade deadline) to get something for Garnett than to be left empty handed.
Finally, Garnett will be in the East and will only meet the Timberwolves twice a year in the regular season.
