Im not ready to give cassell up just yet. I think after a few more years Livingston will be good to go on his own, but until then, he needs cassell to keep helping him develop into the great point guard that he can be.

"Cassell has said he wants to return to the Clippers and is willing to accept a one-year deal for $7.5 million with incentives. He would take a two-year deal for $10 million from the Lakers. But they are hesitant to sign Cassell because he'll be 37 next season." - Riverside Press-Enterprise

Well, it seems the Lakers can steal him away since the Clippers and their cheap owner Sterling doesn't seem to want to pay Sam Cassell for more than a year. Shaun Livingston is able to start now, but he doesn't provide the shooting touch that Cassell provides for the Clippers so they will be a much different team with Livingston at the helm. If Livingston starts, they must have Corey Maggette available because he's the Clippers best fast-break finisher.

The GM of the Clippers doesn't want to give Cassell the two year contract he wants. I hope the Lakers sign him. It will be a perfect fit

They have Livingston, so they should be okay, he's a stud, and should be starting, so here's his chance.

It has been reported that Cassell has just agreed to a 2 year deal to stay with the Clippers. They have some of the best depth at PG in the League and will be back in the playoffs next year espically if maggette can stay healthy.

Yeah, Livingston is a stud, but hes still not ready yet. Alot of people see last year as his breakout season, but he only averaged 25 minutes per game, which isn't a good gauge yet. He doesn't shoot the long ball, hes a below average free throw shooter, he doesn't rebound good enough for a guy who is 6'7, and he is still averaging near two turnovers a game, which isn't horrible, but isn't  good at all when your only playing 25 minutes a game. Livingston has his moments, but don't shoot to high with him. He is still a year off from being completely ready. And in my eyes, Livingston is going to end up as a combo guard rather than a full time point guard.
